You won’t even realize that you are working out. Imagine paddling down a scenic vista. Maybe it is a quiet lake, or maybe it is a beautiful beach shoreline. Regardless of where you paddleboard, start paddle boarding and see why so many people are enjoying it. In this video, you will learn the basics of stand up paddleboard.

The first thing to do is to make sure the paddle is the right size. Place the paddle vertically on the ground and hold your arm above your head. Once your arm is almost fully extended, but still slightly bent, this is approximately the right size paddle for you. To get on the paddle board, use your paddle as a balance tool. Start on your knees and stand up carefully one foot at a time. To get moving, start paddling on the side of the paddleboard that is opposite of the side you want to turn towards. When turning, it helps to stand slightly more towards the back of the paddleboard so that the nose of the board lifts a bit. This makes it easier to turn. Now that you know how to paddleboard, you just have to go out there and practice. You will get the hang of it in no time!
