Care

Are you a member of the Baby Boomer generation? Were you aware that by 2030, its is expected that 6 out of 10 Baby Boomers will need to manage a chronic condition?

Physical activity levels tend to play an important role in an individual’s overall health. A recent survey showed that 1 out of every 10 Baby Boomers are only active a few days every month. While the reasons for this will vary and include busy work schedules and other obligations, many Baby Boomers may not exercise due to other health issues.

Do you experience low-back pain, for example? Is it affecting your daily life and activity levels? If so, you may want to schedule a visit with a physical therapist or physician to address this issue. While nearly half of the people that experience low-back pain exercise in order to alleviate it, this may not be possible for everyone. Furthermore, if this pain is chronic rather than occasional, it is even more important to seek medical help from a physician at an urgent care clinic.

Do you experience dizziness or a loss of balance on a regular basis? While dizziness does occur for 70% of the population at some point in their lives, it is the second most common complaint heard by physicians. For individuals over 60, however, dizziness and/or a loss of balance often occurs on a daily basis. It is estimated that 65% of the over-60 generation has this experience.

Since there are a variety of factors that may contribute to experiencing dizziness or a loss of balance, it’s important to seek medical help if this occurs on a regular basis. Even if this may be considered to be a typical sign of aging, there may be something more serious underlying these symptoms.

While it does depend on the area in which you live, it’s likely that there are several urgent care locations near you. To find the closest urgent care locations, you can conduct an online search or contact a local directory.

Whether you can relate with any of the issues discussed above or have an occasional medical concern, it’s important to seek the services of a medical professional. Since there are urgent care clinics available near you, this is a convenient alternative to a traditional hospital emergency room visit.
